I have a new way of getting caffeine into my brain. It’s called Morning Spark and I think it’s the most addicting thing I’ve ever done. I freakin’ love it.
The packets come in boxes of ten and are to be added to 16 ounces of water. I take two packets and add it to a 20 ounce bottle of water. I’ve tried the Orange and Apple flavors. The Orange actually has an old-time Tang taste which is fantastic. The Apple isn’t quite as good, but variety is nice.
One packet is the equivalent of two cups of coffee, so I get four cups of coffee in one 20 oz. bottle. Looked up the caffeine content and found out I’m putting 340 mg. of caffeine in me. By way of comparison, 12 oz. of Mountain Dew has 55 mg., 23.5 oz. of Jolt Cola has 220 mg., 24 oz. of Rockstar Zero Carb has 360 mg. and a Starbucks Tall Coffee has 279 mg.
I’m not someone who is highly affected by caffeine… meaning I can drink a Coke at night and still fall asleep. In fact, I amazed some former co-workers a while ago by downing a six-pack of Red Bull and not bouncing off the walls.
You know, I don’t like drugs. Smoking weed or doing something even harder scares the shit out of me. Regarding legal drugs, I’ve smoked like four cigarettes and maybe three cigars in my life and never felt the need to keep doing it. I drink alcohol infrequently now… maybe a bottle of wine with friends or a vodka and Red Bull, but hardly ever a beer anymore. So, caffeine is probably it.
