Musician deaths hit fans particularly hard not because we, as fans, know them but because they help us know ourselves.
Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington died of an apparent suicide from hanging. You probably have heard the songs In the End, Numb, What I’ve Doneor One Step Closer. Just a few weeks ago, I watched this Comedy Central clip.
I was not a huge fan of Linkin Park, but I enjoyed a lot of their music. Every time something tragic like this happens, I go and revisit albums I haven’t heard or listened to in a long time. I always find a gem.
